WE EAT SOCIAL MEDIA FOR BREAKFAST

Do you every think that posting a picture is dumb or do you do just cause? In this essay we get the opinion from Dr.Preston about us just using social media to post about dumb things then actually using it to communicate and talk to each other. Taking the example of people just posting their meals other that actually sitting down and enjoying and using it to show us that we live in a world where people don't really communicate but just message and send pictures to instead of doing things in the real world. While some people say that they do not use social media that is kinda of a lie because everyone does but some are just on it for no reason just cause everyone else is. In this essay we will be analyzing the diction, syntax, tone, and rhetorical strategies that the author used.

In this paragraph we will be analyzing the authors use of diction and syntax. The author arranges the words in such a way that everything is in a spot that make so much sense and so every thing is flowing very well and all makes sense. The author's use of diction is very good because he uses simple words and doesn't over complicate anything and make it easy for the reader to understand and to read. These words are arranged so well that it feels really good to actually sit down and read this essay and it also doesn't use big words to confuse the readers. The author's use of diction and syntax is really good and helps make the essay even better.

Next we are going to be talking about the author's tone towards the readers and towards the topic. We can see that the author has found something in the world that he feels isn't very good because he shows through his words that he would much prefer a face to face conversation over some texts back and forth. The author thinks that people are using social media in the wrong way and are using it for reasons like posting a picture of their food instead of actually using it to communicate with other people and interacting for work. The author's tone towards this subject is almost confused or concerned because social media is taking over people's lives. Now we are going to see the author's rhetorical strategies that are used in his essay.

The author's use of rhetorical strategies is so good. The author compares posting a picture to Instagram or Snapchat to going to a store and giving them the film to then develop the pictures. He states that there is no use of film anymore and that everyone just has it backed up onto their phones and that there was some sort of magic to getting a physical copy of a picture other than seeing it on our phone or anything else. The way we got pictures before social media and now are extremely different because we had to go out and buy film but now we can take 100 pictures in a couple of seconds and they are sometimes not even that special anymore. The author uses these rhetorical strategies to show his point that social media has made people not really find any special things in pictures and communicating with others.

The author has a very special way of using diction, syntax, tone, and rhetorical strategies  The diction and syntax is used very well that the readers do not get lost and confused. The author's tone towards the topic is very concerned that people who are using social media will loss the way they talk with people in the real world and just talk to people on social media platforms. He uses rhetorical strategies to show that there are some importance in the old ways of doing things in this world instead of just posting a picture of our breakfast and hoping some will see it. The author uses there strategies in great ways to make his point more relevant in a world where every one is consumed by social media.

EXPERIENCE #3

i had an idea that for my little cousins that in one of the eggs that they would get for Easter I would put one just like some rocks in it but I thought about it and said it i was little and got an egg with rocks in it I would be so pissed so I just said what ever and put candy onstead

EXPERIENCE #2

during spring break I had a bad thing happen and that was that my dog passed away and for me that thing was everything and having to go through that was something that almost felt unreal and the fact that I didn't really feel that same was hard to get over but in the end I had to get over it and try to figure out what happens in the future

EXPERIENCE #1

over the spring break the guitar orchestra had a trip and we had to wake up way too early so I woke up an hour and a half before we left at 6:15 and so I thought that if i get there to early it would be weird and if I get there to late then the bus would be gone so this experience helped me improve my time management skills.

Fahrenheit 451 Essay

OPTION 1: Describe the difference in Ray Bradbury's tone with regard to Clarisse & Beatty. Support your analysis with examples of Bradbury'diction and details.

Could you every picture a world where if you had a book are even enjoyed reading that it was illegal? In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, there is a distant future where keeping books or reading is considered illegal and firefighters instead of putting out fires now go out and start fires. The main character, Montag , who is a firefighter, meets a young girl named Clarisse who is always super suspicious of every thing and bun bards Montag with tons of questions. Since Montag is a firefighter at the station there is a captain and his name is Beatty, he has a hatred towards books more than anyone else and is someone to be feared of. Bradbury shows both of the characters in completely different lights Clarisse as the positive in the story and he shows Beatty as the negativity in the story.

Clarisse is used by Bradbury as a character who shows to Monatag that the world isn't just about being stuck and just sitting there and letting technology rule your life. Clarisse showed to Montag that people are having there emotions be numbed and letting technology like earbuds and tvs rule their lives. Through Clarisse, Montag when reading books he found through her words that there is something inside of books and it made him look at the world in a different life. When Clarisse and her family goes missing Montag is the only person that actually kinda cared and noticed even Montag's wife didn't even care or even know who she was. In the Clarisse even if she didn't have a large role in the story impacted the character of Montag from someone who is scared to show his love of book to someone who sees the deep and bigger meaning of books.

Beatty is a character who is almost shown as the bad guys for doing his job and hating on book just like everyone else. Beatty being the captain at the fire station has a relationship with Montag and has seen people turn into what Montag is becoming. Beatty is the character the Montag is most afraid of because of his power and how with a simple push of a button he could have every one in the entire country on his butt trying to kill him. In the end Beatty was treated to a very hot death and it gave Montag some sort of relief but did it really have to be that way.

Clarisse and Beatty are characters that Bradbury used to show the light and dark side of the future that Montag is living in and something that can be some sort of warning to us. Clarisse shows us the readers that the world that is presented to us is something that could happen and she is something special because in a world with all this board um and numbness she is someone who brings a positive vibe to this whole thing. Beatty shows to us that this world has created people who have just lost their ways and have just gotten angry for no reason. These 2 characters are some of the biggest reasons for Montag to make certain decisions on his journey.
